HOW TO ATTEND ROCK THE SOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL LIKE A VIP
When your boots hit the ground at York Farms in Cullman, Alabama, one of two things is probably happening. You're either lost, or you're headed into Rock the South. The three-day music festival happens every summer in the small town, and when it does, the population rises by more than 100,000 people.
The weekend-long concert is happening July 18 - 20 with big names like Eric Church, Hardy, and Jelly Roll headlining it all. Other names that are building a lot of anticipation are Parker McCollum, Warren Zeiders, Nelly, Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Flatland Cavalry, Nate Smith, and Wyatt Flores, among others.
While I've waited it out in my fair share of GA pits at concerts, I've learned that spending a little extra change on a nice seat is worthwhile. Rock the South is taking that up a notch with its Country Club Skydeck experience. And let me tell you, it's something to write home about. We're talking private entry, an air-conditioned space with phone charging stations and Wi-Fi access, an open bar, private chef, a skydeck for an elevated view of the shows, and even private bathrooms. Y'all... this is the way to do it!

So, what exactly does a VIP weekend look like?
First things first, you get a parking pass in a reserved area with a special entry to the festival so you can skip all the drama in the main lots and lines. And once you've reached The Country Club, you might just discover your new favorite way to enjoy a concert. Inside are plushy couches and plenty of seating options to relax in the AC and use a charging station.
When you get hungry, Chef David Bancroft, from the award-winning Alabama restaurant Acre, will be whipping up some of of the finest dining you've ever had—seriously. Bancroft has been named a James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best Chef in the South four times and won the Food Network’s Iron Chef Showdown in 2017.
Whether you stay here all day or just pop in in-between shows, it's going to become your weekend refuge.
Once your favorite act hits the stage, you can either head outside to the VIP viewing area, or stay on the Skydeck to watch from a higher view instead of dealing with the crowds down below. If you need something while you're singing along to Eric Church, a concierge will be available to answer any questions and make sure you've got what you need. And if you don't love dealing with the restroom lines, because who does, you have access to the private bathrooms available at The Country Club. You'll also get to take home a unique piece of merch from the festival that's included in your ticket cost.
Now, how much is this going to cost? A Country Club Skydeck Ticket is $2,000. But if you want to experience the festival in an all-inclusive way and not worry about a thing for the entirety of the weekend, the Country Club is going to be your way to go.
Plus, you can still enjoy all the regular parts of the festival as well that include the Honky Tonk Hideaway, an air-conditioned oasis for line dancing, taking a ride on the mechanical bull, shopping from local vendors or the General Store, taking a walk through the misting forest or ride on the big 'ole ferris wheel that oversees the whole festival.
