NICOLE BROWN SIMPSON'S SISTER IS FURIOUS WITH THE BET AWARDS

The BET Awards included former NFL running back O.J. Simpson in their "In Memoriam" segment over the weekend. He was included in a group that featured Willie Mays, Carl Weathers and Bill Cobbs among others.

Simpson's legacy is complicated to say the least. In the 1990s, he was on trial for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman.

Even though Simpson was ultimately acquitted of all charges, many people to this day still believe it's foolish to sweep that entire situation under the rug.

With that said, one of Brown's sisters ripped the BET Awards for such a tone-deaf memoriam. She called it "inappropriate to give an abuser and murderer recognition." That's not all she said about this situation.

"Whoever thought of doing that owes every domestic violence victim an apology…and that’s including our family," Tanya Brown said. "And, they should be fired."

Goldman's father also blasted the BET Awards for honoring Simpson.

"I think they shouldn't include anyone of that caliber — a wife beater, murderer … can't imagine why they would include someone like that," Goldman said.

Simpson passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer. He was 76 years old.

Do you think the BET Awards made a huge mistake including Simpson in their "In Memoriam" segment?
