JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT PLAYS BEVERLY HILLS COP THEME SONG AS A ONE MAN ORCHESTRA LEAVING FANS THRILLED - AS ACTOR STARS ALONGSIDE EDDIE MURPHY IN NEW NETFLIX MOVIE

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has delighted fans as he performed the Beverly Hills Cop theme song as a one man orchestra in an amazing new video shared on Twitter, shared on Wednesday.  

It comes as the latest Eddie Murphy film in the franchise dropped on Netflix with an epic cameo from an iconic Happy Gilmore star.

Joseph revealed the 'first melodies he learned' on the piano when he was a child was the Beverly Hills Cop theme song. 

He showed off his musical talents as he rocked out on a keyboard, base, guitar, and drums making his own one man orchestra. 

The Don Jon star, who cut a smart figure in a blue suit, also played the tune on a kazoo and a shaker to round of the instruments. 

He wrote: 'The Axel F theme song was one of the first melodies I ever learned to plunk out on piano back when I was way too young to be watching Beverly Hills Cop.'

Fans took to the comments to call the tune an 'absolute banger' and that the video 'has made their day'.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is a 2024 American action comedy film. Eddie, 63, reprises his role as Axel Foley, while Joseph, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon star in new roles.

In the film, Axel has returned to Beverly Hills after his daughter Jane's life is threatened.

She and Axel team up with her ex-boyfriend, and his old pals John Taggart and Billy Rosewood to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.

The Beverly Hills franchise has been dormant since the third installment hit theaters 30 years ago in 1994.

The original Beverly Hills Cop (1984) was a bona fide hit in the US, grossing more than $234 million dollars against a $13 million budget, making it the highest grossing movie of that year.

Three years later, Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) turned into another smash at the box, earning $299.97 million while working with a bigger budget of $27 million.

It would be six years until the third installment, Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), hit theaters but it take a big dive down in the moneymaking department, bringing in $119.2 million with a $70 million budget.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F premiered on Netflix on July 3.
