BEBE REXHA GOES ON FIERY TIRADE, SAYS SHE COULD 'BRING DOWN' MUSIC INDUSTRY WITH WHAT SHE KNOWS: 'THINGS MUST CHANGE'
The "I'm Good" performer said she shared the messages in a highly emotional state: "I’m sitting in my hotel room in London Crying my eyes out," she posted.
"I'm Good" pop star Bebe Rexha isn't all good with the current state of the music industry.
The 34-year-old performer went on a fiery social media tirade Tuesday, in which she said she could take down the entertainment business if she revealed information she's purposely kept secret.
"I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated. I Have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time. I haven’t seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS," Rexha shared on X. "And when I have spoken up I’ve been silence and PUNISHED by this industry Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly."
Rexha didn't elaborate on specifics, though she did respond to a fan's comment referencing a prior incident involving her contributions to the 2015 David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack single "Hey Mama" — on which she initially didn't receive credit as a featured artist.
"My love. That? Compared to all the other stuff you don’t know about? That’s Child’s play," Rexha replied.
She later clarified that her posts didn't come "from a place of anger" but rather "sadness" over how she's been treated since making her pop debut in 2014.
"I’m sitting in my hotel room in London Crying my eyes out. I’ve felt hopeless for the longest time. I’ve been walking a lot through this city and meeting fans and they have really ignited something inside of me," Rexha shared.
Another X user accused Rexha of going on her social media rant as part of a marketing campaign to promote her new single, "I'm the Drama," though she quickly clapped back at the claim.
"Marketing? I have no budget for that. IM FED UP," she clarified.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Rexha for comment.
Rexha's latest posts came weeks after she criticized rapper G-Eazy, though she ultimately removed the initial message.

"Someone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic," she wrote in a follow-up note. "Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said." In addition to her career as a pop singer — which includes four top-ten singles in the United States — Rexha has also branched out into acting, with a voice role in the 2019 animated film UglyDolls and her feature film debut in 2021's Queenpins.
She has also been vocal about body-shaming in the entertainment industry, citing a reported TikTok search term referencing her body. "I'm not mad cause it's true," she wrote on X in April 2023. "I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what."
