MIRANDA COSGROVE IS 'NOT ENTIRELY SURE' IF SHE WAS IN THE “LILO & STITCH ”TV SERIES

“If I was, it was just maybe one line? But I don’t think I was.”

Now this is quite the Hawaiian roller coaster ride

During a recent Wired autocomplete interview, Miranda Cosgrove was asked if she ever starred in the Disney TV series Lilo & Stitch and, honestly, even she doesn’t really know.

“People think I was in Lilo & Stitch and I wasn’t,” Cosgrove said. Then, she admitted, “This is gonna sound insane, but I’m not entirely sure if I was in Lilo & Stitch or not.”

Cosgrove is credited with voicing two characters — an unidentified girl and another character named Sara — in two separate episodes of Disney Channel's Lilo & Stitch: the Series back in 2005, according to her IMDb page. The original 2002 film, however, is not listed among the rest of her work.

Directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, Lilo & Stitch follows an adorably chaotic alien who crashes down on Hawaii only to be adopted as a "dog" called Stitch by a young girl named Lilo (Daveigh Chase) and her older sister Nani (Tia Carrere). The family’s out-of-this-world shenanigans spawned not only their follow-up television series, which aired from 2003 to 2006, but two more films: 2003’s Stitch! The Movie and 2006’s Leroy & Stitch

In 2020, a live-action remake of the original film was announced with newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo and Sanders returning as the voice of Stitch.

In Cosgrove’s defense, she has voiced several animated characters throughout her career, including young Margo in the Despicable Me films. She will reprise her role as the eldest of Gru’s (Steve Carell) children in the franchise’s upcoming fourth installment, which hits theaters on July 3.
